NDIS Support Services
We provide a range of services spanning accommodation, behavioural support, and assistive products.
We can help participants of all abilities who need some extra help in their homes. Through regularly recurring appointments or scheduled drop-ins, our staff can help with personal hygiene, moving about the house, and taking care of household chores like cleaning, bills and linens.
Upendo Diversity Australia is also able to provide assistance to participants living in shared or community housing. Our staff can drop by any day of the week to help participants take care of their daily to-do list, including washing up, cleaning and tidying, and taking care of household tasks like paying bills.
We offer in-home (client’s home) respite both day night (sleepover)
In situations where a participant’s disability prevents them from being able to do household tasks, we step in to handle them. Our staff can coordinate meal prep and delivery, assist with cleaning and laundry, and housework. If yard work is required part of the participant’s tenancy agreement, we can also help with those.
Upendo Diversity Australia can help participants through transport supports to help participants get around and engage with their community. You can also book one of our Upendo Diversity Australia staff members to drive you to appointments, shopping or any other activity you may need to attend. These bookings must be scheduled in advance and are booked on an on-going basis. We can also help teach participants how to independently use the local public transportation options.
Social Supports
PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY, SOCIAL & CIVIC ACTIVITES
There are plenty of activities that can enrich participants’ lives across Southeast Queensland, and we’re here to help you find them. Whether your participant is looking for creative ways to develop their capacity, make new friends or just pick up a new hobby, our staff can help them find and attend camps, courses and after-hours community programs.
GROUP/CENTRE BASED ACTIVITIES
We can help participants take more control over their plan by helping them identify and fund the group or centre-based activities that will connect them to their community. We make sure that NDIS participants and their caretakers understand everything that’s in their plan, and connect them to the community resources that will give them the most value.
